About NWS...Why it's getting ridiculous and What I have in mind!

Before, it was pretty free to post whatever in there,
Now even pictures of normal clothed people have some newer sensitive members objecting...

I feel the rules keep changing here and what is NWS or offensive is becoming both more and more obscure and more broad in what constitutes as NWS material.

1. Before, girls in swimsuits were okay now its NWS.

2. Novelty items like cockbongs, unused dildos, pics of animals having sex or condoms were okay now its NWS.

3. Even pictures of WWF Wrestlers without shirts became NWS at one point, in a similar case it was a black guy without a shirt on.

I understand that some people browse Werkz at work and get embarrassed or may even fired if caught looking at porn-like material online.

But their decision to browse the "private" web lounge of an 99% all male membership auto internet club during their work time should not have to be extend down to limiting and censuring the posters and thread starters topics and material.

As a responsible individual in the real world who has enough common sense to know my environments, I DO NOT visit werkz whiles I'm at work or if I'm working in a general setting with other people.

My lounge browsing is either done off work, or at school in a lab with people I do not work with or will not offend.

I'm thinking maybe the lable NWS should just be extended up to the Lounge as a general warning...

I'm suggesting this because every month something new becomes NWS. In March its okay to post cock bongs, but April its freaking fire and brimstone coming down on those who post similar images.

We can't be both a private lounge and a PG-13 lounge at the sametime,
nor can we have obscure rules about NWS and punish those who cannot keep up with those obscure, ever-changing, rules.

At present, I would not feel that the gag-strip below is NWS...I posted this a year back in the lounge as a joke concerning asian women and it was not NWS material. In fact, although in retrospect it was tasteless and offensive it was looked at by ALL as a silly, harmless joke.

That's NWS. dont be stupid. put yourself in a position in which you're at work, and scrolling down a thread not marked NWS and on comes a dildo shaped bong. At this very moment your boss passes behind you. How do you think your boss would take it that you're looking at a) a picture of a bong and b) a picture of a dildo at work.

I's bullshit that you want to change the entire Members Lounge to NWS. It's not "Delmarco Lounge." Delmarco lounge should be the trash can section. I dont click a fourth of what you post. Delmarco, post whatever you want, just be sure to include NWS warnings for anything that wouldn't fly in a very conservative church. It really is not about whether you or anybody with whom you work or hang out in real life would find it offensive. The idea is to avoid disturbing other members.

If you get flamed for NWS stuff in a thread that you labeled NWS, I will stick up for you. That would be plain unfair. However, just keep everyone else in mind.

I understand that each person comes online at a time they decide, and if we do it from work, that is our decision. However, that is why we have the NMS tag. If somebody checks out NWS content at work and gets in trouble for it, that is totally on that person. However, it would be pretty messed up to get in trouble, or even embarrased because of entering a thread without prior knowledge of NWS content.
