will 27w bulbs throw off my engine light?

im asking this for a friend. he wants to swap out his stock oem 21w corner signal bulbs for piaa 27 watt bulbs? will these make his engine light go on?
or will it NOT matter since its just 6w difference??

someone please answer this bc i have no experience with it.

i've got the silver(light up amber) 27 watt bulbs in my 323. in all four corners. i've had the back ones in for about a month now and i haven't seen a light on my screen yet. i did however for one of the oem bulbs that just burned out about a week ago. ( one of the front ones, i actually just changed those to clears w/ silver 27w bulbs an hour ago.)
so yes, the 27 watt will work fine, as far as i can tell .

im pretty sure the worse that would happen on some cars is that the check control would go off saying that the bulb is out...

but it should work fine
