Whats Up With Benz Making Wack Engines

i dont know if u guys have noticed but the last couple years mercedes has been taking the same engines and putting turbos and superchargers on them and saying they have new sports cars they need to step it up a little then there csl 55's s'55 and e55's can compare with bmw motor sport cars

Actually, the CLK65AMG has 600-odd horsepower. However, german auto companies have an informal agreement to limit all their cars to 155mph. So, it really doesn't matter.

the hell it doesnt. 600hp gets to 155mph a hell of alot quicker than 300hp

Hell yes it does, but it would be better to get over 160 mph with that 600 hp

well if bmw put turbos and sc's an there cars then merc's better watch out. but even without the turbos the bmw's can keep up with the merc's.
thats just there way of making there cars faster with out having to reenginere (bad spelling i know) everything. with out the turbos thoes cars that rely on the turbos will be nothing(evo8,wrx sti,c230 kompressor, and soon and so on)

funny. I tend to think that a 6-liter v-12 can do just fine on its own. For a fair contest, you'd have to pit a CL65AMG against something like an M5, which wouldn't really be all that fair, since the M5 is a sedan and loses about 100 horses to the merc.
