I don't like the new 3-series designs('05 not current) but I do like the 5 and 7 series. The way I look at is there are still people buying their cars and you'll always have people who won't like a design - what matters is turning a profit and these companies still do.
Bottom Line, It hasn't ruined their image. A ruined image is reflected in sales and they're still going strong.
i just think everything after the e36, e39, e38 lost their aggressive image and now look more feminine

if you mean more curves as feminine, than alot of cars nowadays are feminine. I think the curves are going to be more and more in the future, look at the concept cars...alot of curves. I guess its more aerodynamic?
I think the E46, E39, and E38 are on the same level. And the E36, E34, Exx(7 series '1994 and below) are on another level.
