What Is A Fair Price?

I think I found the car of my dreams, but the owner seems to be asking a ridiculous price. This is a 2002 model year M (Z3) Coupe with less than 10k miles in excellent condition with Imola red exterior and black interior with grey accents. He wants $42,000! These cars to do not seem to trade much, but from what I can tell, the market for these cars with 20k - 30k miles is around $33,000-$35,000. Is this guy nuts, or should I just swallow hard and pay up?

no way man, $42 is close to the original MSRP of a brand new M Coupe, which was in the area of $45k(DellNet Auto). The Blue book is between 29k and 31k

my advice.. keep shopping, it will be worth the wait
