OK guys/gals, I need help identifing this description of BMW original wheels:
Off of a (brand new? crashed) 7 series or 5 series
7 spoke
2 inch lip
8inch width
17in diameter
BBS
2 piece (bolted)
There were some numbers on the rim... one was 97. The rest I don't remeber. I know this could be hard to find, however, I found them for sale for $300 for all 4 (with tires). It's not style 97, because that looks NOTHING like BBS rims and it's not bolted. Any pics would be appreciated.

oh ok you said bbs, and that was the first thing that came to mind, i'll keep searchign unless you already found them
i hope that's not them... no offense. I'm seeing them tommorrow after work. I'll take a pic. BTW, that one doesn't have bolts. Then again a variation of that with bolts could be it... but it doesn't have that 2in lip.

humm, interesting. I honestly don't know. Could be but they don't really resemble BBS rims, but everything else seems to match. We'll see tommorrow evening.

haha, this is like one of those reallly hard riddles you just can't solve. It tears at you so much that you ask for the answer, and then once you get it your like "damn thats so easy".
This is what my wheels look stock...
I like them, just a change. One set for winter the other set for summer. These new ones would be for summer with 225 tires on them. Currently, they have 235's, it bearly fits on the rear. They aren't staggered, which i guess is good in the long run. I have 205's (winter) on now.
So what do you guys think? $300 for all 4 wheels. I would need to buy new tires (figure ~$130/tire pirrelli or whatever). Have the wheels redone at $60 per.
Total for a set of 4 wheels, pretty much brand new => $300+(4*$130)+(4*$60)= $1060 est.

i personally would use the rims you have for summer and the others for winter, i think the ones you already have look better. and 300 for all four rims doesn't sound too bad, but are they new, or are they used. if they are used do they have any imperfections, any flat spots or curb rash?
