Hi i'm posting this on behalf of my mum who has a Z3 & no pc, she has the fake leather v-tech seats & has found the seat belts are rubbing on them & wearing through the fabric, BMW have replaced the seat once but are now getting awkward as it is happening again & are trying to come up with different excuses!

Has anyone else had this problem with the seats or know of anyone who has?

Cheers
Vicster

welcome vicster B)

i'm not sure if it has to do with the material, my dad bought a bimmer in 2000 with leather and the same thing happened, but bmw did reupholster it for free before the 50k mile mark. in ur case tho, i bet the softer material wears a little faster. i dont know what u mean by v-tech seats but i assume theyre are the original seats the car came with right?

I got an excuse. "that damn neighbors dog came running over when I was trying to get the grocries out of the back seat he 'shoved' me out of the way and while trying to eat my grocries his paws were riping the leather apart."

I have no idea what v-tech seats are myself i've just put what my mum said but yes they are the originals
BMW have said they will keep replacing the seats but she's planning to keep this car a while & i guess it could get annoying.

Its BMW that are coming up with excuses like my mum has the seat to far forward & she's not putting the belt on correctly etc, but Asio I like your excuse
