Besides the general things like rust and such, what shoudl I look for when I'm buying a used E46? should i take it to a mechanic before i buy it? how much would that cost?
ALWAYS take any used car to a mechanic unless you are one yourself, ESPECIALLY for bmw's. i bought a used e36 and it was great till my mechanic got back from vacation and told me about all these little cracks and borken pieces, cost me alot, worht the time to have it checked...
yeah always take it to a mechanic! when ever i test drive a car when i test drive it i drive straight to the mechanic and call the place and tell them how long till i have the car back!
