Speed

I'm just wondering what things are like in different area's in terms of how fast people drive. A lot of people around my city get rather tense when driving close to or above 100 mph. Any one have any comments?

Depends on context.

NYC in the city is slow, period.

I-20 in west TX is a great place to hit 160+.

Atlanta freeways tend to run 80+.

The bottom line is not to endanger motorists around you and stay within the limits of your skill and your car.

People here in Savannah run 65-70 on Abercorne speedway! The speed limit is 45 and in the mornings on way to work people fly on this twisty road wiht stop lights. I stick to as much highway and avoid Abercorne because a 1987 Oldsmobile ,blowing smoke, flying up behind you at a red light at speeds greater than 55 and no state inspection, you pray to God that their brakes work!

Does the rest of the state outside Atlanta not mandate screening?

I agree 100%. Traffic is usually pretty light up here, so there is lots of opportunity to open it up.

In Washinton on I-5 usually about 65-80 mph.

hell yea

280 ftmfw.

101 in the north bay runs around 75mph. maybe 80 on a fast day.

on my highway road near my house speed is 55, people go 65.

I-5 through the central valley runs anywhere from 70-100 depending on the time of day and traffic.

60-70 here people go nuts if you go faster and some idiots will cut you off and jam the brakes to "teach" you a lesson about going fast

and the cops pull you over for accelerating too quickly
