I'm looking into buying a mid nineties sedan. I'm selling my other two cars to pay for it. What I need to know is what is the cheapest series is, what the safest series is, what color will likely give me the best insurance rates, and any other details relevent to a new BMW owner. Thanks!
My goal is to lower my insurance rates OR keep them steady with a much safer, less visible car. I'll pay more for more safety. I drive a bright red modified honda civic hatchback, and it is a total drain. It's been stolen once, broken into twice, constantly gets me pulled over (many times for some stupid made up excuse that doesn't end in a ticket). It's in excellent condition, and I just paid to have the paint job redone, but I'm about to graduate from college and commission in the United States Navy. It's time to put away the toys, as it were, and get a professional, sophisticated vehicle.
92 318i sedan that is black would be the best for you then.

328 has a bigger engine, and you wanted min specs, so I said 318, 328 is really relaly good though.

A BMW will get you attention too.... if you want a total sleeper then go and get a black volvo, you will never get pulled or robbed with that.
If cost is the issue then go for a small engined model, maybe something like a 520i, assuming you want a decent bit of space inside.
Most model variants are available for a similar price 2nd hand so it's really just a case of how much you want to spend on fuel and how fast you want to go.

Everyone drives a BMW here. I'm parkd between an X5 and a 5 Seriies right now. And I'm also moving to a much better neighbohood in a week. I want a BMW that, well, "looks like everyone else's." I may do modification, but it'll be internal only. If someone does see my car I want the reaction of "Oh, hey, it's another BMW" and then they move on with their thought process.

Honestly, I don't care about speed. Anything's faster than my 1.4 Civic. Anyhowm stopped by BMW of Austin this morning. Saw a nice 323 in the Used section. Didn't see a price tag though... Everything else looked too new and way too out of my price range. Saw a 7 series for $42,000 -_-;;; I'd buy a house instead.
i agree volvo is the safest, and least attention grabing.
\but if you want a bimmer i say go straight for the 5 series. they are bigger but will cost u more
maybe a 535? or a 525
