yeah, rallies are the most insane, F1 cars do definetly shread it up, but when it comes down to it. F1 cars dont drive through an infiite combo of weather surroundings. the Rally drivers really are the best in the world(IMO), yeah..the F1 guys do have a really fast reaction(racing through things at 150+mph), but rally drivesr....thats just a completely different level. using all 3 pedals plus the E brake. some of them even have a seperate brake for the front tires rather then the rear tires, and the main brake is for both of them. rally drivers are the craziest. does anyone have a link to where I can download some rally vids? cuz I use to have some, but thats when I was still using Kazaa, and I dont want to get it again because of all that gay ass spyware.

Today in Indianapolis Ralf was hitting hard a wall with 170 mph (guess) and jpm is again disqualify from the race because of his difficult start

Hey Guys,

I have followed the F1 scene for sometime, and saw the canadian GP in Montreal this year. I say this is the most advanced and technologically challenging motorsport in the world.

Some things that baffles the mind is how michael Schumacher and the Ferrari team manage to pull it off everytime! Isn't there a theory of probability or whatever? He hasn't had a technical breakdown in nearly 50 races now! Why can't Rubens Barrichello produce the same results with the same car and pit crew and strategy? Is Michael really the best driver ever, or is it the whole package? Why can't Toyota with their japanese technology, and even a bigger budget than Ferrari be atleast a little more successful?

It will be really interesting to see the next few years with drivers like Alonso and Raikonnen and even Sato trying to be the next world champion.

Cheers.

dont discount montoya for the WDC. i really think that ferrari's package is what gives MS the edge; i doubt he could win in a fw26. and yes the law of averages is haunting ferrari, but that alone will not bring about their downfall. MS had a cracked exhaust header in spain but was still able to win the race; thats the closest he's come to a mechanical failure in a while.

The car does help, as ferrari's are just the best right now. Butt M.S. really is that damn good.

The way you can really tell if a driver is good, is by watching them race in the rain. In the dry, fast laps come from car and driver. But in the rain, the car's abilities are masked and the drivers skill really comes through.

Watch M.S. in the rain. He owns everyone. Last tiime they raced in the rain, he damn near lapped the entire field.

Someone does not win every single race in a season except one just because they have a good car. That my friends takes a skill level beyond all imagination.

True. But don't you think that the lack of competition makes it boring as a spectator sport these days? This season has been a bit better as Jenson Button has done well - expect great things from him next year - but apart from that, WRC and Touring Cars is a better watch IMO.

Hey Guys,

Nice to know there's so many F1 fans after all.

I still do not think Montoya has the consistency and the attitude to become a world champion. I'm the first to accept race drivers are an arrogant lot. I will give Montoya every credit as a good driver......specially with cold tires/restarts etc...but Champion?...I'm not sure. Also, I'm not entirely convinced that the little incident behind the safety car in Monte carlo was as innoccent as it seemed...just my 2 cents there.

As for Ferrari and Shumacher.......I have always been a fan and he's still my favourite driver. I was simply wondering at the un-ending string of wins and how is that possible in such a competitive sport where there's practically a million things that could go wrong, any one of which could jepaordize your race, and the Ferrari team seems to be able to keep all these together! All the time! Amazing!

Personally, I think either Raikkonen or Alonso will be the F1 champion whenever old Shumi feels like retiring....maybe in 3 years?

Cheers
