Oke... so im back from camp and let me just summerize what happens here. I drive the 20 miles up there. Park my car in a shady to sunny mulch parking lot. Let it sit for 1 to 2 weeks without turning on. Drive the 20 miles home. go back the next morning and let it sit again. Soooo everything just now piles up on me. If you remember a while back ago i reground and painted my valve cover so if you dont mind the intake manifold it looks like im sportin a m50 engine. Well now the seal around there is leaking oil. Also I hit a tree stump and cracked my oil pan. That just plain sucked, $500 right there. ($300 for an oil pan from BMW!!! WTF? AND ITS CAST ALUMINUM! You can get a billet oil pan for a mustang for $250!!!) Also Ive attained a large leak in my radiator system and i cannot determine the source. I thought it was a hose so i replaced that and it still leaks! I can smell it but not see it. Also my clutch is slipping like a mofo. Top of 2nd used to be 60, now its 45-50. My cruise control mysteriously died. Low idle, used to be 750 now its 500 and im running rich. And lastly im going to need new tires soon. Mine are shot from using the same tires to autocross.

Remember all this happened in the last 3 days except the oil pan and i guess tires....

piece of crap... its been in the shop and we ordered a new power steering gearbox for an 88. got it in same day, awesome.. put it on.... crap wrong size doesnt fit. So alright theres 2 models in 88 wheere they switch over to 89. So i order an 89 part. Comes in monday put it on. Crap Doesnt fit wrong size. So we find a 3rd and final model from this suppplier. Got it in. Dont fit. So i change suppliers. Get a 4th and final part in and WHAM it fits! awesome. And as we finish putting it on, I notice that theres a big ass crack on a ball joint on the upper right tie rod. Probly got damaged from not having any strut bearings at first. So we also replaced that part. However I cant get the steering aligned till tommarow so this is going on 5 days ive been driving the super monster van around. My luck sucks ass. and my mechanic hates me

Hi,

Oil pan at $500 - OEM part ????

Thats rubbery at broad daylight.

Seal at valve cover - $ 40 or 45

Radiator system - oil is still in good shape, regular color/smell?

If the oil start to get white/light chocolate - thats a sign of MAJOR problems.

When you say leak, how bad is it, it can be the radiator it self, as you mention that you hit something. Place a newspaper below the engine room for a while a day or two, the spilling will guide you in the right direction.

Steering box, 4 try before fit, sounds like your supplier has a problem with your vin#

Bad luck man.

I would prioritize the radiator system leak, as it can lead to something really bad.

well it was 300 for the oil pan because i bought it from stealership, they only had one or it would have been a special order and i needed it on my car the next day so i got it from them. Then 150 for lift time.

The radiator leak was just a hose deep in the engine bay i could not see at the time.

The valve seal, i just needed to clean it.

Also i when replacing the power stearing gear box we found a cracked ball joint so had to replace the lower a frame and also noticed 2 cracked main engine mounts. So we also replaced the rubber.

My car drives much differently now. I think ill like this come september.
