Hi everyone i have recently just bought myself a 1999 E36 316 compact. Just thought i would come on and say my hello's and ask some advice as well.
Now i've heard that BMW's have got a timing CHAIN and not a BELT. Would i still have to change the chain????
My car has got 64 000 on the clock with full BMW service history.
Any help would be great.
Chris.

M tech sport suspension = already lowered. clears already, M3 lights at rear.
BBS wheels would cost my two legs and one arm, so i thought of these.
Just need to find out what they are now. Any Ideas????/

well i don't think you need to change the the timing chain, but i do know that you should check the camshaft to see if the lobes are worn down, that's about it that i can think of
