M3 CSL vs M3 coupe (stock)

I posted this a while back in another post about the CSL, but never got an answer, so i decided to post again. Why is it that the M3 CSL does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, while the M3 coupe does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds? That doesn't make since too me since the CSL is lighter and has more power. Please explain.

the CSL's main goal isnt to slaughter the M3 coupe in 0-60, but given that it has around 360hp and is over 400lbs lighter it should probably do 0-60 under 4.5. i think the S54 Mcoupes are around 4.5-4.6 and they are still slightly heaver than the CSL and lack 45hp from it

bmw's numbers are VERY conservative. they're actually lower than that

it's not the fact that the numbers are conservative: it's the fact that according to BMW the CSL is slower in 0-60 no matter how you put it. Of course we with brains we know this is not true. Of course this has not gone unnoticed at BMW......at least i hope it hasn't. Perhaps its a marketing plan lol

i remember bmw advertising the the M5 at 5.3sec when it first came out, and the E46 M3 at 5.2sec, but BMW NA tends to change the times once the cars go on sale in the US, and since the CSL isnt planned for the US right now its probably just an unofficial BMW time from the factory

i was reading the BMW magazine and it was talking about the CSL and it said that it has a new roof which is 6kilo lighter (maybe 10lb i dunno) neways little thing like that may be the difference
