I hear way too many people theese days talking down about BMW's saying you don't get much bang for your buck...
That's just sad BMW's may not have whomps of hp or electronics coming out the yin yang, but the overall value of the car is far and away better than 95% of it's competitors. Take into account everthing from saftey to drive-ability they are some of the best cars made.
i know what you mean. Like, my E30 that i had, that thing produced so m uch fun, so much handling, lots of good power for the money, and it keeps up with most of the newer cars in the striaghts, and has very good handling for the money and year.
I think BMW's may be expensive, but when you utilize the cars mazimum capability, and its truely an amazing car.

I eventually got my dad to get an '02 530i with the sport package. Its no M5 but it handles like a dream and it has decent power.
I first got my BMW because my dad said they were good cars. I'll never drive anything but one now! And I've heard that from other people too...they're addictive.

before i turned 16 I knew I wanted an old car that I could work on. well for the longest time I was looking for old mustangs cause I thought they were so cool. My dad convinced me to get a 2002 and it seriously had to be the best advice he ever gave me. The 02 hooked me on canyon driving / road racing. I will forever be a regular at auto-x events...especially when I graduate college and have a much newer bimmer
Well RealBMW, you'll be happy to know there is a "becoming famous" race out New Found Land way in Canada called Targa. This will be its fourth year. I think the winning car was from Sou Cal and is an older BMW turbo'd. There are different classes of events, its a super rally that goes on for days and is very taxing. The winner studied the rules and then got the car that could max out the rules. Because it is a rally, he decided a suped up Bimmer would be the way to go. Because they have a classic division, I think the car has to be 25 years old or older to enter, he got an older BMW. I can't remember what model. There's all kinds of newer suped up cars, some of them pretty spectacular, but his car won it all.
Sometimes I get depressed when I drive in my friends cars (WRX's EVO's) but i feel the seats and see the interoir and read the name, and they just dont have the class of BMW. Maybe not the fastsest cars on the road, but easily the most well rounded.
I think BMW has the best bang for your buck, becasue when you really utilize what it is(stock), its truely amazing. Its just that most people look at the newer BMW's and immidiatly think "omg they cost so much to repair", well, if you took care of it, it wouldnt.
That is All.
