Looking for a 94-97 3 series

Are high miles BMWs 3 series good cars to buy? I helping my a friend to buy. He loves the older style cars. What should we look for?

higher mileage BMW are usually great but it depends more on the car... my 1987 325 is great though never any huge problems... another forum is bimmerforums.com

oh, 94-97 my sis has a 96 with 150k and never a single problem, just if you get a pre-96 make sure the water pump was replaced with a metal one

and would probaly get more help in the e36 forum

i jus bought a 92 325i with 144K miles. with a lil tune up here and there it runs brand spankin new. Make sure ur BMW mechanic takes a look at b4 u buy, have a full inspection done i got ripped of buying my first 325 so be careful, lots of little cracks and hidden problems add up...

yeah make sure to get the metal water pump, i heard that they have hardcore problems! however i havent reached that yet! thank god! but im selling soon for a 95 96 m3! hell yeah baby!
