quite glad i found this place..im trying to find out more about the working of the air intake system for F1-type vehicles ..any idea about where i can find some stuff?
to be more specific, i'm trying to optimize the design of an intake and need to understand the flow conditions at the entry to the inlet and the engine ports.
i dont know enough about f1 cars to give you the kind of answer your looking for, but the intake is right above the drivers helmet. and there's probably only a thin layer of mesh grille and a light layer of foam to filter the air, but thats just a guess.
