I just wanted to share with you my unforgettable experience with BMW Financial.

I have a 2001 330i sedan purchased through BMW financial. Although my car is not the best in snow, I love my car.

One day, someone woke me up and rang my doorbell in the middle of the night. It was a local repo company to take my car! They had documentation that they had been instructed by BMW Financial that I was "delinquent" with my payments and had a matching vin number. Feeling powerless, I let them take my car.

The following morning I called BMW Financial and confirmed that I was never a delinquent and had never missed a payment. When I told them my story, they confirmed that they gave out the wrong vin number to the repo company!!!!! They gave no explanation! Is this a common thing? I never expected that this could happen with an organization like this or can it? The financial manager I spoke to was very apologetic, but I am still in shock and outraged that I had to go through this. The repo company returned my car the next day, but I was even more mad when they towed my car with the front tires up.

I would appreciate any thoughts you have if you were in a situation like this?

Thanks for listening.

IF this was recent, get a lawyer and thank your lucky stars. You should be due some money in compensation.
