I have the opportunity to purchase one of three BMWs. One is a 1990 325i with a 5-speed and 145k miles. The others are 88 (270k miles) and 87 (150k miles) 735s. I don't know what type of transmission the 735s have, although I am aware of a manual being offered in the 88 735 (*crosses fingers). My question is, which of these would you recommend?
Well they're both under $2k ($2300 for the 325 and $2250 for the 735). I like the fact that the 325 is a manual (don't know about the 735; don't think manual was an option on that year). However, I like the thought of roominess and luxury in the 735, and it would be good for hauling people around (especially my girlfriend, who is a "classy dame," so to speak) so I'm really torn. I haven't had much acquaintance with either model, so here I am seeking advice.
if its for taking the girlfriend or someone aournd the 735i, what bettter way to do so, nice roomy luxurious bmw.
