E36 Vs. E46 - Which one's better?

Alright guys. I recently purchased an e36 325i. I enjoy it very much, but I'm now wondering if I would be happier with a newer car. This is a nice car - no doubt, but I'm loving the look of the e46. I'm going back and forth with myself wondering if I should dump my money into upgrading the e36 with an m3 kit, angel eyes, and etc. or if I should just sell it and use my money towards a new car. used

Does anyone have any facts or opinions on the differences between the two?
How do they differ?
Good and bad?

i guess i'm probably severely biased because i really freaking love my car but if the thought of a new car has even crossed your mind then you should go e46. you'll be happy with the mods but i'd guess that you'd always have that nagging feeling that you should've gone with the 46. ( i freaking hate it when i do that. like my golf clubs... should've bought the clevelands...damn....)


the biggest difference for me between the two is that while the e36 is really good looking... a clean e46 is just plain flat out traffic stopping head turning beautiful.

but like i said, i'm partial.

ah, but so is a clean looking e36, ive even had a guy in an s series benz tell me how much he liked my car at an intersection once.

on the subject of if i would trade my car in on an e46.......i probably wouldn't pass it up

I went looking at cars today.

The honda dealership where I was looking at the s200 offered me some interesting facts. Their four cylinder is actually more powerfull than bmw's z4 four cylinder, and the 6 cylinder in the boxster! I was suprised. It's not a bad car.

I then went to the BMW dealership for a look at the e46 and z4. I wasn't even noticed. No one treated me like a real buyer. I don't think they took me too seriously. Their customer service is terrible. They're incredibly SNOBBY! I don't even know if I want to buy from them because of this. It really pissed me off!

Ever since the visit to Honda I'm really leaning toward getting the new s2000. It's does a 13.8 in the 1/4 mile. Pretty sweet for a n/a 4 cylinder!

I think I'd miss the bmw though. I may just get a 330 coupe. I don't know!
