E36 or E46?

Hi all,
I'm new to the BMW world as well as this forum. Hello and thanks for already giving me lots of solid info about my 99 323ic but for the life of me I can't figure out if I have an E36 or E46 since from what I've read, they made both in 1999. Is it stamped anywhere on the car?

Thanks,

RRR

Easy cheesy.

Does it lok more like (1) or (2)

(1) e36

(2) e46

The first is an e36, the second is an e46. Dont mind the body styling, just lok closely to see if its more boxier like the e36 or rounded like the e46. Look closely at the hoods/grills/headlights and that will be the easiest give away for members who arent conossiuers of BMW.

Oh yeah, and welcome to bimmerwerkz. Stick around, its a fun place
