DOT MATRIX recall

well ive read on other forums ....

well bmw has discoverd that the dotted matrix on the radio and heatin displays and trip comps. are faulty. so if u email BMW and tell her the name on the registration, last 7 of the vin, address, and phone number where she can reach u at and u should have ur self free parts on these items. the email address is below.

i found this out on another forum and it is great that bmw is understanding

i dunno about BMWCA but i know that BMWNA has actually honoured this so this may be usefull for you guys and gals

do they just send a display for the OBC or a whole new unit.
and do they want the old ones back? cause my car is missing the OBC... and then i would have to get one just to send back... not that I want to scam bmw or anything like that...

Amazing, 40% of my OBC's pixles are dead and it's almost unreadable, bulb is out in my instrument cluster, and the ODO has a dead pixle or two. Fun.

I had my dash instrument panel replaced coz' the LED lights were messed up. Contacted same lady above, she emailed me and gave me a number to call a rep from BMWNA. Took my car to dealer to run test, confirmed fault and I paid labor $75.
My car was out of warranty. Would've cost over $400.
