Here ye, all ye...
Need your help putting together a class action law suit against jiffy lube. I'm one determined *beep* to get jiffylube to pay...
My story and my reason for being angry...
they broke my thermostat housing by leaning on it while giving me an oil change. They didn't bled the coolant properly so i reported it to the manager there and he sent me to a guy who bled it for me fairly quickly, then sent me off to a german auto specialist who saw that they aux fan switch wasn't working, and that the thermostat housing that he put in was too high and was sticky and consequently not engaging properly which said was a result from not bleding the system correctly. JiffyLube, after sending me to these mechanics, refuses to pay for the repair fees incurred by German Auto Repair. Oh man oh man oh man...
So i'm contacting the corporate offices, but from what i hear, they make you go through a whole lot of crap that leads to a dead end...as a result, most of us would say that the money isn't worth our time in taking them to small claims and just forgive and forget right?
But for justice...so we can feel happy that we are right, and they were wrong; for them to have to suffer just as much as we did...I'm trying to start a class action law suit. I know of another guy who's been screwed the same way also that's willing to join and a lawyer who will work with us.
So what i'm asking for...
to join in if you've had a similar problem and are willing to provide us with information and documentation on how they screwed you over. Ask your friends if they've been screwed over and ask them to join the claim. We'd sue for millions of dollars, but first we need a "class" of individuals who can all raise their hands and say, "i got screwed by jiffylube"

First off I feel for you, and I totally think that its wrong the way Jiffy Lube treated you and I wish you the best of luck in your class action suite.
BUT, why do you bother taking your BMW to Jiffy Lube...first off, they aren't certified to touch your car, second, they probably don't know what they are doing when it comes to your car...
My thought is this, you need to stick to your trusted mechanic for everything. (not dealer) My guy doug has done everything to my car for the last 11 years...if something goes wrong he fixes it no fuss no guff...he does an oil change he checks the entire underside of the car to make sure everything looks good...
Just my thoughts...in all honesty...on an economic standpoint...I really doubt you will win against Jiffy Lube...but best of luck and all the best.

Before you can sue them in small claims, you need to try to contact them and give them a chance to settle with you. Write a couple of letters explaining the situation and include copies of all the bills. Even if you're sure they won't respond and just give you the run around, it's just something you have to do... As for that huge lawsuit, good luck to you.

Yup...that's what i'm doing now...just that it happened to a guy i know...one that we're teaming up with who has done everything, contacted his way up the ladder...and nothing was resolved...but i konwi have to do all that...just waiting on calls, being persistent...*sigh* the long and timeful journey
I concur, use the small claims court; your case is exactly what it is designed to handle. Make sure you have proof you went out of your way to get it settled outside of court. Be polite, but firm, so that in court your "negative" attitude isn't used against you.
Document "Everything" you have said in your opening post. Don't be surprised that the settlement comes as you are sitting outside waiting your turn to go into court, from Jiffy. Judges like settlements instead of court cases. Make Jiffy pay for your court costs if they offer to settle.
