I am looking at getting a 2001-2003 3 series and I noticed the BMW certified pre-owned vehicles have a 6 yr 100k warranty. Now my concern is that I will be paying a premium for a used 3 series from a dealer. But it seems like it would be worth it for that extra 2 yr 50k warranty....obviously you don't get that 6yr/100k warranty from a third party or non-certified pre owned BMW.

Also, if you go to, you can search for certified pre owned's in your area. But how solid are those prices? How much negotiating room is there? shows financing of 3.9% which is pretty damn out there I have seen!

Thanks in advance.

I did it. But your mileage (and answers you recieve here) may vary. Certified Pre-Owned 2000 323ia im my case. It's going into the dealer for some molding glue issues (which I plan to make a post about). Since this is apparently normal, I am GLAD I have warranty to 100,000 miles. I'm at 61,000 right now. It's nice to be able to pull in, say "fix this" and have the dealership say "absolutely." You may save some money not doing it, but I know nothing about german cars, and peace of mind was worth it to me.
