Year-to-Date Sales Jump 9.4 Percent
WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., Dec. 2 -- Sales of BMW Group (BMW and MINI brands combined) vehicles rose 6.4 percent in November, with sales of 25,086, compared to 23,579 last November. The BMW Group also recorded year-to-date sales of 251,954, a jump of 9.4% percent over the 230,370 vehicles reported in the first eleven months of 2002.
BMW Brand
BMW reported sales of 21,892 vehicles in November, up 5 percent from November 2002 sales of 20,873. BMW also reported year-to-date sales of 219,949, also up 5 percent from the 209,058 of this time last year.
BMW Automobile Sales
BMW's automobile sales rose 8 percent in November with 17,991 cars reported versus 16,712 in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date, BMW automobile sales increased 8 percent to 184,090 compared to 170,341 for the same period in 2002.
BMW of North America recorded its best month ever for sales of its 7 Series sedans, reporting 2,349 cars sold. The second-best sales month for that model was October 2003, when the company reported sales of 2,151.
BMW Sports Activity Vehicle Sales
BMW reported a 6 percent dip in Sports Activity Vehicle sales for the month of November with sales of 3,901 vehicles compared to 4,161 in the same month last year.
Year-to-date, SAV sales are recovering, also, and are off by 7 percent in the first eleven months of 2003.
