BMW diesel

Hi I was wondering if there ais anybody that has a diesel BMW? i have heard of them but was just wondering wher I could get info and if anybody knows of any BMW diesel vehicles likes years models and numbers would be much apprecaited

There were a few diesels, most are European model options ONLY....One I know for sure is the 524td E28 1985-1986....There are more that I can't recall at this time....I'll post back if I think of them

Unfortunately, they won't be available in the US til 2006, and even then, only the SUV will be avialable. I don't understand why BMW won't risk starting a new market, considering all the money they already have made on such fine automobiles. I have a Jetta diesel at the moment, and although it rides well, I would prefer to have much more horsepower and torque and a little more style. A six cylinder diesel coupe is all I need.

Chevy's in the 1980's really ruined it for the diesel market (atleast in the sedan application)...once the demand gets large enough BMW may take the risk of marketing their diesels here...but untill then, its a huge risk to take without knowing if it will be profitable....I'd buy one in a heart beat, but that's just me.
