Bluetooth!

Man. I'm so excited because I heard that the the 5 series and the 6 series will have Bluetooth as a standard! Have any of you guys heard of it? My friend has the Acura TL with it in it and it's really cool. You could talk on your phone THROUGH your car! Does anyone know if there's any downsides to this?

I think if you have a nice nokia cellphone (one with a bluetooth) the current X3 has the option in it.

Do only Nokia phones work with the X3? I have a Sony Ericsson, would it work with that?

I think it just depends if the erricson has bluetooth or not, but still not sure.


The only I am sure about is that my freind Nokia 6600 worked in the x3 due to bluetooth.

If you go to the Acura Site, it has a lot on information on Bluetooth (not just as it applies to Acrua).

if you have a bluetooth phone, it will work with any bluetooth device, it's kinda like infrared but sees round corners - if you see what i mean.

we've had it over here for a couple of years now, early devices picked up quite a bit of inteference from engines/stereos etc. but it has got a lot better now.

You can add factory bluetooth to any BMW since 2001 with no modificaitons - it is plug and play - at least on the 3 series. check out this sites:

the only downside is that you cannot have bluetooth and BMW assist.....

This is a mod I would like!
