I have always called the cars "beemers". I have never once heard someone call them "Bimmers" until I started reading these forums.

I always call the cars beemers. Wait, i call all bmw's beemers. Oh well I just like it like that.

I've always said "beemer" or "beamer" until I read that article awhile back . I've never heard anyone else say "bimmer" other than online though.

I've never heard anything other than beamer, but personally any variation of that word pisses me off. It's a BMW, there's no nickname. They're not made to be "cute"
