I did a search in the forum and haven't come up with a conclusive decision. Is the Book better, where you can tot it where ever you go, or is it better to have the CD. Are there color pics in both? More info in the other? Anyone have a sample pic (screen shot?).

I have the Bentley book, the Hayes book and the 6 CD BMW set. If I had to have only one it would be the Bentley book as it is the most complete, but no color pictures. The Hayes book is ok, but has some gaps. It's cheap and worth having it for the price. The CD set was only 15$ on ebay and is good for parts diagrams and parts numbers, but is really poor for service procedures. If you are going to get the Bentley book, the other two are only $35 together and for that price it's really worth it to get them also.

Thanks for responding, are the pics in the book too dark or too light where it's hard to make out what's being described?

The pictures in the book are just fine and generally show what you need to know. If I still have questions on how something goes together, I find that looking at the parts CD shows how all the pieces fit together.

ya get both. its useful to have the book by your side while your working on it

Both?? The question is either or.... besides, I don't want to spend twice the price for the same thing....
