05 545i Or 05 M3

I'll be purchasing one of the two vehicles shortly, and i have no idea which to choose. m3 is the ideal car for me but then just recently the 545 caught my eye. but after going on to the 5 series forum and reading about the e60 and it's defaults and flaws i got a little worried.

i dont want to be heading back to the dealership every other week.

if anyone can help me out that'd be great.

get the 05 M3, and get it in 6spd Manual, not SMG,

The m3 = faster and more nimble, and so extremely capable, its amazing right out of the box, needs no upgrades, and will be freaking awesome to drive.

I would get the M3. But I am a single guy with no other responsibilities other than to feed myself and pay rent. The M3 will give you a much more sporty experience at a lower fuel consumption rate. Oh, and please, please, please get the 6-speed and not the SMG.

I didn't know so much was going wrong with the E60... I was thinking about getting one a couple of years from now

What are your needs in from the car? Are you going to be putting a child seat in the back? Picking up family from the airport when they come in? Need to have room for four adults for more than 15 minutes at a time? These are all things that you should think about before purchasing either one. If you are going to be doing these things, or simliar things, I would say go for the 545i. But if non of these things are what you are going to be doing then get the M3.

well. if u want both of those. the comfort of a five series and speed of a m3. get an M5. ya baby. but. its expensive lol. btw. i would get the m3. but it all depends

of course i will be getting the 6 speed. im quite scared of the smg having problems and causing loads of cash put in to fix it. i'm old fashion and simple.

i like mechanical cars but then the 545 is computerized so yeah.
