Wiring FM/AM CD Reciever

Sorry but I'm new to this. Probably sounds stupid to all the eperts out there but I can't find if my (mint)1995 325is has a separate amp. I bought an alpine CDA-9825. I just want a slight upgrade and cd player. Used a Metra wiring harness but got no sound. Called the Metra support line. They told me I probably have a seprate amp and need a different harness which I will have to order. As you can tell I souldn't be rewiring my car. Will this new harness do the trick for me. Any advice will be apreciated.

yes there is an amp.
in the trunk behind the lining on the left (looking into the trunk)..

the new harnes should do it it sounds like the amp isn't getting the turn on signal or not everything is hooked up.

btw check the audio section.

yeah, I'll move it there in a sec. There are plenty of people there who can get you squared away nicely.
