Where do I got the radio codes if its disconnected

I am having a handsfree phone kit installed in my car next week but they will be disconnecitng the radio in the process and I think I'm going to need a code to reactivate it. Anyone know where I can find it? I heard the dealer will often charge you for it.

Most times, the dealerships around me will tell customers that they will have to take their radio out and send it in or call it in to get the code and it will cost $40-50...All we do is pull the radio out, get the serial number, call the service department and tell them a car we are working on needs a radio code because we disconnected the battery and they check the code in their computer or call it in for free...
