Whats Size Is The Hu ? Hellpppp!

Hey, im looking to change my stock Head Unit Deck b/c the lcd is broken.

I want to get one of those indash flip out monitors, i found one that i like

and I wanted to know if anyone knows what size our OEM is....

Is it DIN sized? the new deck that I want to get is "ISO DIN chassis"

Will this fit?

Thank you so much, i am purchasing the unit from a friend tomorrow, so i relaly need a answer by tomorrow after noon!

i have a 94 318is with the stock HU currently in there.

Also will my bmw 6cd changer work with the head unit, b/c it says it is 6/10/12 cd changer compatable?

I may not be as much help as you need, but the stock hu is the same as almost every hu. I replaced it with a clarion and the fit was exactly the same. You can post this in the audio forum for a better response by people that know exactly what you are talking about(not me).

Factory deck is DIN.

No install kits needed, just a wiring harness and an antenna adaptor.

Easy install, no worries.

Moving to the audio section....

The factory cd changer wont work. Your new radio is only compatible with whatever brand it is (kenwood/kenwood, alpine/alpine, etc). if its an ISO-DIN chassis, it should also do a DIN install as well. If your buddy had it in a toyota, mitsu, etc., he may/may not have the metal mounting sleeve neccesary to install it in a DIN configuration. I dont think I have yet to see a radio that advertised ISO-DIN that wouldnt also install as a DIN.

Like Jllphan said, make sure to get you a wiring harness to install this radio rather than wacking up the factory harness/plug. It'll make your life much simpler. Good luck.....
