What wire is what?

Got my hands on an old 5 series (1991), I want to swap the HU already in the car (not OEM) for another. The problem is that the HU in there (Blaupunkt) requires all the wires to be individually plugged into the back of the head unit and therefore whoever fitted it had to cut off the original BMW connector. I want to be able to attach the wires upto an ISO block I already have.

Can someone tell me what wire is what? Are the colours of the BMW wiring (used in 1991) the same as ISO ones?

So I'm guessing your car is E28. The following wiring diagram is good for the e34 5 series eventhough it is labled 1995 e36. I don't see how they could be THAT much different. Hope it helps...
