My recently purchased amp (for my subwoofer) has both an adjustment for Gain and for EQ. Not being an audio guy I'm curios as to what the EQ adjustment is actually doing. The Gain, I assume is sort of like a volume or level adjustment but the EQ??
After you are done laughing... shoot me an answer.

EQ controls which end of the spectrum get mor umph.... certin sliders increase bass and other increase treble. It is like the bass and treble control, but it is more in depth for more precise audio

Mine is a rotary type screw.... So, should I just adjust this based on what I think sounds right to my ear... just start playing a couple of reprentantive type songs and adjust to what sounds right to me??
thanks

Need more info to give you the correct info. It could be a number of different things from the into given,

Bass EQ
Shelving EQ
Parametric EQ
Crossover Control

There are many other possibilities, tell me exactly how it is labled, as well as the labled figures around the adjustment dial....
