What do you have in your 318i?

Currently in my 1994 318i I have 2 Memphis 12in DVC Power Reference, Black coned with somewhat flat surface, silver baskets. Pushing those is a Kenwood KAC-301 excelon which pushes out about 600-800 watts when im running at half ohm, both dvc bridged then each woofer bridged at box and bridged at amp to = 1/2 ohm. Along with that I have a hiwave 1 farad digital capacitor, (doesnt seem to help a whole lot better, system still cuts out on low notes, ). All professionally installed and some of which installed by me. Component speakers are all infinity. CD player is a Sony CDXCA710X, which i might add is excellent for increasing highs and overall mid/treble sound. Im also setup and ready for another amplifier but for now ill hold off as id like to put more into the looks of my beam. Ill post pics soon.

rockford fosgate head unit, model 9100 or something like that, with an 8 disc changer in the trunk. two 12in alpine type r subs in a plexiglass dual bandpass box, with a sony explod 1600 watt amp powering the subs. amp is turned down quite a bit but the subs have some serious punch. soon i hope to change out all of the other speakers but it sounds fine for now. head unit was professionally installed because i wanted it flush mounted in the dash with a custom trim ring to match the dash, installed the subsa and stuff myself.

El Presidente: Whats a class T amp? Ive never heard of Class T's.

Basically, a class T amp is really a D amp that has all the properties of an AB. Eventhough it's driving my sub, I could run my highs off it (which most Ds aren't good for) and have it sound like an an AB, but only have the heat siganature and power consumption of a D.

It produces so little heat I actually have it installed in a cutout of my box.
