what did you do about your rear speakers did you putthe new ones back into your existing hk box or did u make a custom new one if you do not know what i mean i am talking about the balck box you pull out did you put your new components into that box or did u do something totally diffrent any suggestions and wiring diagrams would be great
when i put new rear speakers in.. i ripped the old ones outta the bracket! now i am trying to find speakers that will actually fit into those factory brakets.. factory def wasn't 4" speaker... they were like 6.25
Those enclosures actually are pretty good. The factory spends a lot of R&R money to 1) make them sound good, 2) make them fit the car, at the same time. They are usually tune-ported to make the speakers sound bigger than they really are. That's been Bose's design for years, making a small speaker sound big by use of enclosures and tuning.

JL makes stealthboxes that fit in the same area that replaces the old backspeakers. They house like 8" subs or something. I was thinking of getting those. If I do, you can have my old ones if you pay for shipping.
