Are These The Only Speakers I Have

ok so i have been thinking of getting a new system for my car but can only find a pair of front speakers, a pair of tweeters and a pair of rear deck speakers...
is this right? check the pics

well i got confused with this post in the faq section could someone please explain..

kick panel= 5.25"
door= 1" tweeter
door= 3.5" (not in all models)
rear deck= 4"
rear deck= 1" tweeter (HK option)

The number of speakers depends on which audio trim the car came with. The premium has 8, and the HK system has 10. The 318i/is/ti versions came with only 6 speakers unless a higher package was selected, while most 325/328s basically had the premium as standard, as I have yet to see one without the 3.5" in the door.

I have the same setup as you - it's 8 speakers total including those door panel tweeters. The Harmon Kardon system has those extra 2.

hummm... i got those speakers on the door.. but no HK system... whatever, i changed all thr speakers anyway... u might wanna post this in the audio dept.. they might be able to help more than us!

There's a tweeter in the rear speakers too. So there's 4 in the back, 4 in the front door panels, and 2 more in the kick panels.

What did you use in the 3 1/2 door then? I brought my ride into a custom audio shop they told me they weren't gonna replace the 3 1/2, just take it out of the system (it wasn't financially worth it was how they described it) Funny considering how I was about to pay them $2K for the job

You have them. THey are the larger of the 2 speakers in the door (by the door handle)

Where are the "kick panels" ? In the lower part of the door? (I have a four door)

If you take the grills off the back you'll see a small crappy tweeter with the 4".

It is just a split signal from the rear speaker with a resistor inside the box so it works.

I put in components in the front and didn't reuse the midrange because the performance of a 2way vs a 3way is marginal for the price difference.
