Steering wheel interface buttons E36 retrofit

Has anyone done this or have any info-link how to do it on E36 series.
I have BMW Traffic Pro and 3 spoke st. wheel that is similar to E39 M5 exept no buttons on left and right tabs.
The attached picture is the E36 M3 3 spoke steering wheel showing left tab with buttons and right tab without.

I dont have an answer for you either, but I am thinking to make this happen would be a pretty serious undertaking.

This will be tough. Everything is possible, but this won't be a simple plug-and-play project. You will have to either find a slip ring that works for the job, or perhaps fabricate your own.

Re

If I can see a close up picture of the slip ring, can it be fabricated safely so it wont cause problems for airbag.
If not there is a 7 pin slip ring from E39 5 series that is compatible with buttons and airbag.
I would need to know how everything is connected, most likely there is/are aslo module/s inside the console.
So far I have not found a detailed info with diagrams of this set.
