Speaker size ?'s - BMW Forum

was wondering if some 6 by 9's would fit in my 93 325i where the stock nokia pieces are now? i have some pioneer's that i would like to put in there but i dont know if they would fit

Yup, Bavarian Soundwerks has a 4" to 6x9" adapter some of the guys here have used in the past with success: BSW E36 Rear Speaker Adapter Plates 4" to 6"x9"

You could maybe build something similar out of a thin piece of wood or plastic. It doesnt really matter what it looks like as long as you:

1. Keep the rear sound wave of the speaker reaching the front side by sealing it well
2. Mount it firmly enough to where your rear deck doesnt rattle when the speaker is playing

BSW just offers an inexpensive drop in solution.
