Replacing Leds

I just got my stellar alarm. I don't like where the LED is located (in thingy that goes on the windshiled to tap that will send page to the fob.)...

Anyways I broke my LED (I was playing with it.)

anyone have suggestions for a replacement LED as far as specs go for replacment so that I can put it someplace else like center console or mirror like pres..

already got the alarm. it just needs to be installed. I'm taking it to installer guy today and seeing if he will be able to replace/move the LED if not its off to electronics shop.

Thats nuts. Specifically, what do you need to know? Just how to move to LED to someplace like the mirror?

To do that, cut the wire on the LED and extend it with any wire thats the same guage from radioshack. With the glovebox off, you can route it out of the side and under the weather stripping until you hit the pillar. You can with keep going under the weather stripping or put it uner the trim. Thats harder, but probably worth it. Either way, at the top, stugg if above the headliner and run it to the mirror. Take of the sunroof panel, drill a small hole, push the wires though, remove the mirror, drill the hole, use silicon to secure the LED, and you done.

If i start pulling that much of my car appart I will break something. I couldnt figure out to to get into the pillar. and I need a new LED cause i broke the 1st one.

I got the 2 way stellar. and there is more than just plugging it in. I gotta find all kinds of fuckin wires and splice into them and mount shit up. and the wireing loom/harness for it is frigging huge... if you want to comeover and help that would be great but your a little far.

Current travel plans place in CA sometime in Janurary. IF you feel like a drive and wait, I'll be in SF.

maybe I will come up with another project for around then. like an amp, sub, and el-pres e36 box.
