Having recently purchased a 1994 325i Im new to the world of BMWs. This web site has been fantastic. You have helped me figure out what was wrong with my air conditioning when it shot nothing but hot air to the floor, and when the blower stopped working on any setting but 4. Ive also managed to change the spark plugs, reset the engine service, and change the micro filter with the advice found here.

Here is a question for any audiophiles out there. The only cosmetic flaws to the interior of my new toy are cracked bezels around all four of the speakers in the front door. A local dealer tells me that the only OEM solution is to replace all four speakers (Two tweeters and two mid-range) at a cost of about $100 bucks. Wondered if anyone has had any luck with aftermarket speakers in the $100-150 range that come with grilles?

Hope over time I can contribute.

are u looking for the "Door speakers" or the kick panel???

i've tried looking for speakers for the door.. but they are soo small that they arn't found in that many places....

if your looking for the door speakers.. then your better off going to a dealer and getting the HK speakers...

BUT if your looking for the kick panel then they are 5.25".. and you can find them anywhere

Nope, you got it right, I'm looking for the tweeter and midrange that are in the front doors. Thanks for the reply

I know the Infinity ref. series fit in the door.

Moving to audio for other suggestions.

no. My car doesn't have door speakers, so, I'm not sure if the drill is part or what. In a few installations I've seen i think you can reuse the grill. If it is messed up, you can always take it out and put speaker carpet over it.
