replace a business unit with a nav unit

hi all im new to this site and bmws, just took ownership of a v reg 328i se. I have a business unit installed with a tape deck but also have a navigation unit with what looks like a cd player in the boot. Am i able to change the business to the navigation, and where would my heating, a/c controls unit go. also where will i find the code for the stereo...thanks for any help

ok think ill pass on the nav unit.....thaught it would be a direct swap....does the business unit come with a key code incase i remove it...and where could i ifnd it...ta

they should have a code. You might check the owners manual, a lot of previous owners write that stuff down. If not, you may have to go to the dealer and they can get it for you. The numbers they will need, along with your VIN, will be a couple numbers on top of the radio.
