Hi, I am currently installing a system into my 1992 325IS. I managed to get the speakers/tweeters in however I have no idea how to run the RCA cables from the deck to the back. I need to run 6 cables (2X3, front, rear, SW). After removing the stock head unit there are 2 holes I can find. 1) The hole which the stock wires travel through. 2) A hole on the right hand hand side which seems to drop down somwhere along the lower left hand kickpanel and behind the glove box. How exactly do I send a wire from behind the HU and where/how do I get it out from behind all the panels? Also another unrelated question: After installing my tweeters in the door, my right hand window no longer goes up. It only goes down. Any ideas? When i hit the up button it doesnt even seem to be clicking or making a noise.

The easiest (if there is such a thing on these cars) is to run it down the passenger side, over (or under) the glovebox area. Remove the passenger kick panel and sill trim pieces from fornt to rear and run the wires under the carpet, between the seats and the doors. Getting into the trunk will be a bit more difficult, but you can remove the rear seat and see where the wires need to go from there. Good luck...

I figured out how to guide the wire in the rear under the seats. I have no idea how to remove any of the kickpanels in the front however. I have tried and they dont budge. Any ideas?
The door sills u just have to rip off with your hand, put ur fingers on the edge and pull. The panel under the glove box comes off by unscrewing it i believe.
or you can slide the door sills, thus preventing breaking the clips that hold the sills in place, that's what i did, putting them back on was a bitch though...have to make sure the clips are in line...
This may be the ghetto way to run the RCA's, but the only way i could get them to work. I took out the little storage compartment, as well as the "information center" (the thing with all the temp/speed/clock) from the center console. I then fed the RCA's down the hole on the left side in back of the deck. Removing those two things gives you immideate access to the wires, and then they can be fed to wherever you want to go. I chose down the center console because it was the easiest, the wire may not be completely out of sight everywhere, but it only took about five minutes.
I don't know if it is just me but the last post makes me a little annoyed. Come on you are driving a bimmer. Dont crap it up with gayt wires showing. In my opinion, do a proper install or have someone else do it. I hope that the wires showing was just a quick fix. I just think that there should not be any sign of having a sub untill they here the bump in the trunk. I am just guessing, but I am also suspecting your subs and amp are not properly fastened. Just think if you hit something and your car stops at 60mph in a half a second. Do you really think your seats are going to hold back 60lbs of subs and amp. Then after they go through the seat, what is the next thing that it is going to hit? Hopefully this never happens, but I would rather have a save clean install that not. But, thats just me.
