Purchased a '95 325is. It has a Kenwood CD tru mount CD player. When I power the CD up, all radio reception ceases - static only.

Same situation when I turn on the rear window defroster. Defroster on - radio reception gone. Any suggestions?

New to the website. Great info. Thanks for your patience....

I am assuming this is an FM modulated type (you have to tune your radio to a specific station to hear the CD). If so, the cd changer electronically disconnects the AM/FM antenna from the car and injects the CD signal into the radios FM tuner so you can hear it. It is supposed to make the other channel go away so you have no interference from them.

The rear window defroster is strange. The only thing I can think of is the cars AM/FM antenna is mixed with the rear defroster in the rear window and it may be causing some problems. Not really sure on that one just taking an educated guess. Hope that helps...
