Ok, I'm trying not to break the bank here, but I'm looking for a decent radar/laser detector. Hopefully less than 150, what should I be looking for? I checked radar roy's website and can't seem to find anything that suits my needs.
Heres my requirements
360 laser/radar detection
The usual bands
Good POP preformance
Won't drive me absolutley crazy with false alarms
Will actually tell me when a cop is there instead of sitting with a dumb look on its display.
Now, in a related question, Anyone have a red led Passport 8500 x50 they'd be interested in selling?
I don't think you're going to get a decent one for 150. I think you're going to get one that's going to cause my Valentine 1 to flash "J" when I pass you.
For God's sake, save yourself some money and just buy the Valentine. It will pay off in the end.
buy a $300 radar.
the only thing rhar's good about v1 are the arrows (not worth extra $100 over escort/bel)
esxort and bel are now both made by same company, so if you get beltronics rx-65 you should be in good hands, same goes with escort one. Bel is the cheapest of 3 (mid 200s), followed by escort (300), and v1 (400).
Other radars are SHIT! i promise you!

I have to disagree about the arrows. They have saved my butt all by themselves several times. A feature is defined as worth its extra cost in my book if it saves me that extra cost in ticket fines. The arrows have done that for me.
