What's everyones oppinions, should I get an escort or a valentine. Where is the cheapest place to get them, ebay?

I'm leaning towards the valentine, but only because I have heard more reviews from people who own them.

I like the Escort, but your fighting a loosing battle with either. If police didn't have such rapid collection of your speed, they would be much more helpful. Traveling in packs, they are invaluable, but by yourself they are bascially worthless. I love the Escort, I have sold them for years, and the 8500 (X50) is a great unit. The S2 is better....HERE

ya, I like the escorts prices better than the valentine one's. But I thought valentine was supposed to be better?

Valentine's suppose to have a 1-3 second faster detection rate, which can mean everything if your on the highway. I remember this because some guy on this board did a head to head test in the same car at the same time.
Depends on how much speeding you plan on doing and how much money your willing to spend.

they are both a pretty good chunk of change. 1 to 3 seconds could mean the difference between getting a ticket and not getting a ticket. I'd be willing to spend an extra $125 for those few seconds.

I just got a ticket, and do not want to get another one. I don't speed excessively, but I'm almost always going about 20-25 over on the highway.

who said the V1 had 1-3 faster detection time than the escort? Escort has more #1 awards than the V1. The main difference between the v1 and the escort is that the v1 has a compass which tells you where the signal is coming from and it has both front and rear radar detectors. The escort is about 100-150 less but does an equally good job (its highly debatable but if you go by lab tests, escort has beaten the v1 more than the other way around). The escort also has a better bogey counter and less false alarms than the v1. But theyre both really good.
