in another topic someone mentioned the Nakamichi CD400 headunit...
i was looking into getting a BMW CD changer (95 318i) to go with the car, I'm still getting prices on those... BUT i was going this route because i hate the look of an aftermarket stereo with stupid colors and flashing lights, etc etc, i want it to look factory. when i started looking at the nakamichi i saw it looks very factory. it would improve the overall sound, and put CD input in the dash instead of in the trunk.
my question is, anyone using this headunit? how well does it fit exactly, is the factory headunit the same size? do the colors (amber) match up well? also, i noticed on the front of some of them it had RDS listed, i know this is the digital radio station identification and song title/artist id that appears on the unit when listening to the radio, but i didn't really see it listed on the descriptions i saw...
the headunit is a bit pricey, but i'd pay the price to get something that looks OEM as long as it really does. and it fits without needing other crap. and it sounds better. otherwise i may as well get a changer... what do yall think, anyone own this thing?
