problem with radio shutting off

I have a 1995 BMW 740i with a radio problem. It works for awhile and then just shuts off. The cd player works fine, I think it could be antenae related? Anybody else have this problem and what worked? Thanks

Does the sound shut off or the whole radio? Like someone reached up and shut it off? If the radio stays on and the sound just shuts off, its probably the tuner inside the radio, and would require it to be pulled out and serviced (replacing with an aftermarket may be a better option then). If the whole thing shuts off, it may be a poor ground or something similar. I am assuming this is the factory radio. Just a little more input and I'll see what I can do for ya.
