OEM Head Unit

I know all of you gentlemen generally frown upon the OEM head unit, and I'm certain that sound quality could be improved with a Nak or Alpine, however.....it sounds a far sight better than the Ford F150 I just moved out of. So......

I'm not wanting to spend much money, and have a head unit without backlighting. Does anyone out there in Bimmerland have an OEM head unit laying around (since so many of you have replaced them) they would sell cheap?

I'm considering cracking the thing open and looking for the broken solder. eck.

I have a HU from a '94 325I that I would part with if it will fit...

It should but I'm not 100% sure it will... I can post a pic if you'd like... Also I don't have a code for it but you can just ask the dealer and they should be able to get that for you.

Mine is an Alpine. Model number C33 DIN US

Mine is an alpine 3. thats about all i know... If you press prog and the - it should say..

I don't see a model number on the HU anyplace.

It is a standard DIN. It should work...

Well, I took it out. Took it apart. Re-heated some solder joints. Put it back together. It works!........for now. Thanks anyway!
